Question 10.1:
Does Halacha (Jewish law) permit intermarriage?

Answer:

According to post-Sinaitic Jewish law, a marriage can be contracted only between two Jews, so an intermarriage is not recognized as a Jewish marriage.

In some countries, the progressive Jewish movements recognize civil marriages as Jewishly valid, irrespective of religion.
