October 2000: Skate Night

[Red Feather, Rebecca, and Little Bunny]Skate Night 2000 for Y Indian Guides and Indian Princesses was held on Thursday, October 5, 2000 at Northridge Skateland. Participating in this event were Flying Elbow and Bright Star, Running Rabbit and Little Bunny, Red Sky and Red Feather (along with Red Sky's younger daughter Rebecca), and Thunder Cloud and Golden Dove. During this meeting we gained two new families: Broken Wing and Beauty Pony, and Big Buck and Little Dear. [The picture to the right shows Red Feather, her sister, and Little Bunny at Skate Night

The Sioux North tribe was one of the event co-sponsors, and so we arrived early to help sign in people. First to do duty at the sign in table were Thunder Cloud/Golden Dove and Running Rabbit/Little Bunny. During the initial sign-ins, the dad's took care of the paperwork, while the girls counted and handed out patches. The next dads to work the table were Flying Elbow and Red Sky.

Inside, it was mayhem. The girls had fun skating, with the dads being a little more hesitant. Running Rabbit was running around trying to get pictures of all the tribal members (he got most of them). We all looked forward to our next meeting on October 20th, and perhaps meeting at El Torito night.
