April 2000: Monthly Meeting at Tiny Cloud's

On Thursday, April 13th, 2000, the Sioux North Tribe gathered together for our monthly meeting at Tiny Cloud's house. In attendance were Flying Elbow and Bright Star, Crazy Horse and Tiger Lily, Laughing Bear, Singing River and Shooting Star, Running Rabbit and Little Bunny, Red Sky and Red Feather, and Golden Dove. We started the meeting with the pledge of allegence to the flag led by White Cloud. The girls then shared their favorite memories about recent activities while we collected "wampum":

During this meeting, we selected our leadership for next year. Flying Elbow was elected to be our new Chief, and Red Sky was elected to be Assistant Chief. We also started planning our tribal yearbook pages.

Chief Crazy Horse then reviewed the six pillars of the Indian Princesses program with the tribe. These pillars are very important to the success of the program.

The meeting concluded with an Arts and Crafts project where the girls painted wooden eggs (and their hands, and their clothes...). We are all looking forward to getting together for Dodger Day!
