"Sioux North" Tribe of the GA-Sioux NationNorth Valley YMCA Y-Princesses |
On January 20, 2000, the Sioux tribe held its monthly meeting at the house of Red Sky and Red Feather. In attendance were Crazy Horse and Tiger Lily; Laughing Bear, Singing River, and Shooting Star; Thunder Cloud and Golden Dove; and Running Rabbit and Little Bunny. During this meeting, we remember our recent adventures at Camp Whittle, including seeming some videos from the trip. While sitting around a real fire provided by Red Sky, we heard a story about the value of listening and seeing, and about how what we see and hear often depends upon what we place value. The dads helped the girls make necklaces from speacial beads provided by Chief Crazy Horse. We looked forward to our next meeting at Laughing Bear's, and to bowling at Cosmic Bowling night.
