Our first regular monthly meeting of the 1999-2000 year was held at
our Chief's house (i.e., Crazy Horse's house). All the girls and
dads were present, including our new members, Red Sky and Red
Feather. We started the meeting with our usual rituals, including the
pledge to the flag and the saying of names. We then celebrated the 5th
birthday of Little Bunny with a cake provided by the Chief. We then
worked on two crafts: a stamped leather hair barrette and a beaded friendship
bracelet. The Chief showed everyone how to attach a feather to a bracelet
using only four beads. Many thanks to Tiger Lily, who cleaned up
and made a beautiful spread of munchies. The girls had fun playing together,
and we were looking forward to the Pilgrim Feast and Induction Ceremony.
