"Sioux North" Tribe of the GA-Sioux NationNorth Valley YMCA Y-Princesses |

On
April 6, 2001, the monthly meeting of the Sioux North tribe was held at
Crazy Horse and Tiger Lily's house. In attendance were Crazy
Horse and Tiger Lily; Running Rabbit and Little Bunny;
Tiny Cloud and White Cloud; Flying Elbow and Bright
Star; Laughing Bear, Singing River, and Shooting Star;
Broken Wing and Beauty Pony; and Red Sky, Red
Feather, and Quiet Song. After our traditional opening rituals,
Crazy Horse read us a story called "Why the Weasel is Nervous". We
collected wampum, and the girls shared what they had done to earn their wampum,
with all winning awards or getting good grades on tests or report cards. Way to
go! We then talked about upcoming events, and continued to plan the Nation
Games we would present at the Nation Picnic. We then had a craft, with the dads
and daughters working together to make wampum purses. We looked forward to
Arena Football, and the next meeting at Broken Wing's home.
